Today, the Cooperative Agricultural Bank in Sweida began disbursing the values of the second batch of wheat prices delivered by farmers to the grain receiving center.
Director of the Cooperative Agricultural Bank in Sweida, Engineer Naseem Hudaifa, said in a statement to SANA reporter today: “The value of the payment is 250 million Syrian pounds, and it is added to a first payment that was disbursed during the past two days, at a value of 82 million pounds,” noting that the exchange is based on the tables received by the bank with the names of farmers from the center. Receiving the grain, after deducting the debt owed by them to the bank, if any.
Engineer Hudaifa pointed out that the bank has liquidity to pay the full prices of wheat delivered by farmers in an easy way without delay, with the readiness also to disburse the prices of wheat to farmers who supply their crop to the branch of the General Organization for seed multiplication as soon as the lists of their names are transferred from the institution to the bank.
The Cooperative Agricultural Bank and its branches in As-Suwayda had opened more than one window to speed up the disbursement of wheat prices, with an electronic program linking the grain office and the bank to read the lists received electronically.
