Best self-advertising: Eching fire brigade opens its doors

The Eching fire brigade offered a diverse mix of entertainment, information and animation programs at their summer open day.

- To this end, the entire fleet of the Echinger Wehr for a "vehicle show" drove up to the outdoor area.

It was important to the activists to do their own voluntary work in a way that was effective and memorable.

The wide range of tours and activities were quite suitable to offer insights into the wide range of deployment of man and material that is currently covered by the 90 active members of the FFW Eching.

House tours and demonstrations, for example of a fat explosion or a simulated rescue operation in an accident with an airbag deployment, gave some impressions of the training and equipment that are necessary to be able to meet the increasingly complex requirements.

Self-experiments in full gear also contributed to this - for example when using a "heavy" rescue spreader.

In view of constantly growing challenges, in which traffic, industrial and household accidents and fires as well as climatic changes play a role, the fire brigades and rescue services urgently need additional personnel.

“Imagine there is a fire and nobody comes” – an appellative poster display drew attention to this problem.

The ice cream stand of the Madl association "Wuide Herzn" was also well attended

In culinary terms, the Floriansjünger lived up to their reputation as excellent hosts and offered a variety of warm and cold, sweet and hearty dishes and drinks.
