After the CDU and the Greens were both successful in the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein, the coalition is now in place.
Kiel - Six weeks after the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein, the CDU and the Greens have agreed on a coalition agreement.
"We're through with the negotiations," said Prime Minister Daniel Günther (CDU) on Tuesday evening after the crucial summit meeting.
All open questions have been clarified.
Günther has not yet named any specific appointments.
He referred to the presentation of the coalition agreement planned for Wednesday afternoon.
"We have a good result," said Finance Minister Monika Heinold from the Greens.
Agreement in Schleswig-Holstein: focus on energy transition and economy
Both parties had been negotiating since the end of May.
According to the CDU and the Greens, the party conferences to approve the coalition agreement are to take place on Monday.
The re-election of Prime Minister Daniel Günther in the state parliament is planned for next Wednesday.
There, the CDU and the Greens have a two-thirds majority.
The basis of the negotiations was a joint exploratory paper drawn up in May after initial talks, which focuses, among other things, on an accelerated energy transition while at the same time using the economic potential therein.
Both sides had already shown optimism at the beginning of the coalition talks.
Nothing was known about difficulties during the talks.

The negotiating group consists of twelve representatives from each party.
In addition to the top duo of Monika Heinold and Aminata Touré, state chairwoman Ann-Kathrin Tranziska and deputy parliamentary group leader Konstantin von Notz negotiated for the Greens.
In addition to party leader Günther, the Christian Democratic negotiating group also includes state education minister Karin Prien and faction leader Tobias Koch.
The CDU and the Greens have formed a government in Kiel together with the FDP since the previous state election in 2017.
A new version of the three-party coalition originally intended by the CDU failed in the exploratory phase due to resistance from the Greens.
