Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah announced today the dissolution of the National Assembly and the call for general elections.
And the Kuwait News Agency quoted Al-Sabah as saying, "Based on our constitutional right, we decided to constitutionally dissolve the National Assembly and call for general elections in accordance with constitutional and legal procedures."
He pointed out that the decree of dissolving and calling for elections will be issued in the coming months after preparing the necessary legal arrangements for this.
