In four weeks the time has come: Then the 28th Sinnflut Festival will begin on the Erdinger Volksfestplatz.

There will be eleven days of celebrations from Thursday to Sunday, July 21st to 31st.

Erding- The popular cultural festival organized by Peter Feller and Börnie Sparakowski and their team is a platform for diverse entertainment with plenty of sensual delights.

This includes live music, dance, art, various activities, market stalls, food stalls, a café and wine tent and the beer garden.

Even if a lot is not so easy to accomplish this year after the two Corona years, Feller says: "I'm looking forward to the fact that we're almost like we used to be."

Some things will be new: The Raiffeisenbühne and the Gewandhausbühne will swap places.

Only selected performances take place on the latter, and not every day.

"The program will then be broadcast live from the Raiffeisenbühne on a screen on the Gewandhausbühne," announces Feller.

Then the visitors could sit and chat in quieter surroundings.

The Sinnflut guests enjoyed that very much last year, and they want to take over that.

After the failure in 2020, Sinnflut 2021 took place under the impression of the pandemic.

The beer garden and market area had to be separated, and masks were compulsory on the premises - except in the square.

When entering, you had to register with the Luca app.

There will be no such restrictions this year.

However, the organizers are considering charging one euro for entry.

The reason: Gema's high fees for music usage rights.

"If we charge admission, Gema gets a fixed percentage of it," explains Feller.

That is manageable.

The decision will be made next week.

One thing is already certain: the drink prices in the beer garden will remain the same.

"We don't want to go along with the price gouging," says Feller, "especially now that money isn't that easy for many."

Sticking to the prices “will of course cost us something, because the beer price increase has not passed us by either”.

Half a glass costs four euros, non-alcoholic drinks three.

Planning is difficult this year.

The advantage of Sinnflut: the organizers have had good contacts for years, are known as reliable organizers and started preparations early: containers, site fences, tent rental, security forces - all of this could be organized.

One problem is - as almost everywhere in the catering industry - the search for staff for the beer garden.

Usually 40 waitresses work on Sinnflut, this year there will probably only be 30.

To compensate for this, Feller announces a larger tavern, with an extra bar for self-collection.

The seating will also be looser.

"People found it pleasant," says Feller, looking back on 2020.

The opening hours change a little.

From Monday to Thursday from 4 p.m. to midnight, they are one hour shorter than before.

On Fridays and Saturdays they stay at 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., on Sundays from 12 p.m. to midnight.

Music is offered on the two stages and in the dance garden.

Some disc jockeys are playing there.

DJ Dino Horn (Andreas Brenninger) is well known to the people of Erding.

On Saturday, July 30, from 10 p.m., he focuses on German hits.

Already on Wednesday, July 27, from 10 p.m., Harry Frei and Anton Dichtl can be experienced as "The Glimmer Glamor Twins" - with music from the 70s.
