This is part of a long-running conflict over areas of fire that have been taken over by Bedouin.
This is an area known by the Palestinians as "Safar Yatta" and by the IDF Fire Area 918, where training is carried out from time to time. For the past 22 years, the Bedouin have been living in these areas, despite demolition orders issued against them and actions to demolish infrastructure they built illegally. About a month ago, the High Court approved the deportation of 1,000 residents in the area.
This week, IDF training began in the area, and it is expected to last about a month. Not to leave the houses.
