The tourist information offices in the Tölzer Land are almost everywhere satisfied with the number of guests during the past Bavarian Pentecost holidays.

They take stock:

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen –

The Pentecost holidays, which ended a few days ago, have given tourists in the southern district a lot of joy almost everywhere.

This is reported by the local tourist information on courier request.

Things went very well in Benediktbeuern.

"There was as much demand as in the pre-Corona period," reports Sabine Rauscher, head of guest information.

“The weather was perfect, which fueled the demand.” She knows that not all requests could be met.

What is striking, however, is that some guests booked at very short notice and stayed shorter.

“Some ask if they could have a vacation rental for two nights.

That is striking.” On the other hand, there are also those who would book very early and for a longer period of time.

Bad Tölz: "The rooms were very, very well occupied"

The Tölz spa director Brita Hohenreiter reported something similar.

"The rooms were very, very well occupied," she says.

There were only a few free double or single rooms.

In such situations, cyclists who do not book rooms in advance are at a disadvantage.

"I can only appeal to do this so that you don't have to cycle up to 20 kilometers further at the end of the day in order to be able to spend the night," reports Hohenreiter about the commitment of her employees.

"There were already bike travelers, for which we could only organize a room in Geretsried."

In general, reports Hohenreiter, many bookings were received by the landlords in Tölz by the end of October.

“These include some longer-term inquiries.” That is very nice.

Gastronomy also benefits from this.

"We're glad things are going so well."

People are also very satisfied in Lenggries.

"On the last weekend of the Pentecost holidays, there was no free bed in the community," says Maria Bader, Head of Tourist Information.

Similar to Tölz, long-distance cyclists had to be sent on without prior booking.

In Lenggries, too, there is no fear: Bader reports that families with children came during the holidays, whether it was older couples without children who wanted to go hiking or cycling.

Most come from Germany.

In general, it is now “back to the times before Corona,” she says.

Some events, such as guided hikes, were fully booked.

Slight declines in bookings in Kochel am See

In the Kochel and Walchensee region, on the other hand, arrivals and length of stay "unfortunately decreased," reports Nicole Lutterer, Managing Director of the town hall.

There were good bookings on the weekends and public holidays, but there were still rooms available during the week.

"This may be due to the fact that long-distance travel is possible again," says Lutterer.

In the Kochler municipality, 95 percent of the guests were holidaymakers from Germany.
