The first children's and youth village championships recently took place in Bernbeuren - organized by the Bernbeurer Schützen.
19 children between the ages of six and 13 had registered to compete in teams of two with a light gun and bow.
Bernbeuren
– In archery, three young shooters even managed to hit the bonus apple, and Sebastian Köpf even made a “Robin Hood” shot and used his arrow to split another arrow that was already in the target.
"Of course that's something very special, and I awarded ten extra points for that," explains second marksman Daniel Altstadt.
In addition to the two main disciplines, there was “put the tail on the donkey” and “throwing cans”.
After all the stations had been gone through, the stations that the individual liked best could be visited again before the award ceremony went to the Schützenstüberl at around 5 p.m.
The "2xtwins" team with Thomas & Lukas Wenzel then took first place, followed by the teams "Who drives Fendt leads" with Tobias Hafenmair, Philipp Klaus and Kilian Besel, and "The Soldiers" with Michael Schwarz and Luca Schuster.
The other places went to "The Kings" (Samuel Knoblich & Jonas Wenzel), "The Two Wild Guys" (Max Rauschmair & Sebastian Köpf), "The Wolf Gang" (Carlos Schleich & Hannes Freiwald), "The Wild Lions" (Leonie Holzmann & Franziska Köpf) and "Pegasus" (Sarah Wieland & Emma Schuster).
The youngest participant Niklas Wenzel (6 years) and the oldest participant Naomi Knoblich (almost 14) came together in the “Pusteblume” team.
