Ambitious climate and energy goals, strengthening internal security - these are the core goals of the CDU and the Greens for the intended five years of government.

The party leaders are satisfied with the coalition agreement.

Kiel - CDU and Greens in Schleswig-Holstein want to achieve climate neutrality for the state by 2040, further expand renewable energies including wind power on land and significantly accelerate planning and approval processes.

In addition to strengthening internal security, this is one of the core goals that both parties agreed on in their coalition negotiations.

He is proud to present the contract, said Prime Minister Daniel Günther (CDU) on Wednesday in Kiel.

"This is an ambitious program." The Greens had announced the year 2035 for climate neutrality.

The 24-person main negotiating round approved the 244-page coalition agreement on Wednesday, which the eight-person steering group had finally dealt with the previous evening.

Responsibility for agriculture is being separated from the Greens-led Ministry of the Environment under pressure from the conservative peasantry.

The aim is to govern the country reliably for five years, said Green Finance Minister Monika Heinold.

"The coalition agreement is a future-oriented basis for this." Both parties share a great will to shape things.

Climate and species protection are central tasks for her party.

Heinold had a special reason to be happy in the afternoon: "Now I can concentrate on the Kiel Week again".

Günther announced on Tuesday after eight hours of final negotiations that the alliance wanted to tackle the big issues with courage, despite the difficult financial situation in the country.

"That is also the spirit of this coalition agreement."

Both party congresses are expected to approve the coalition agreement next Monday.

There is no doubt about it.

Günther's re-election as prime minister in the state parliament is scheduled for two days later.

After that, his new cabinet is to be sworn in in Parliament.

“We are united by the claim to solve the challenges of the present and the future together.

We are ready to break new ground for this," says the preamble to the coalition agreement.

This is under the motto "Connect ideas - seize opportunities - shape Schleswig-Holstein".

Electricity generation from renewable energies on land is to increase sharply, and solar roofs are to be mandatory for new houses from 2025.

A temporary expansion of oil production in the North Sea could contribute to Germany's energy independence.

By 2038, the production of hydrocarbons is to be ended altogether.

The nuclear phase-out should be implemented consistently.

The CDU and the Greens are committed to building the A20 on the planned route, as anchored in the current federal traffic route plan.

The day care centers should get more places and skilled workers;

a home ownership subsidy is planned for families when they first purchase a property.

Education Minister Karin Prien (CDU) said there will be extended all-day offers at schools to improve the compatibility of work and family.

Informatics will become a mandatory subject in all secondary schools.

Video surveillance is to be intensified at crime hotspots and “anxious dreams”.

In exceptional cases, the Office for the Protection of the Constitution should be given “the opportunity to collect technical data in or from apartments” to avert an urgent threat.

The use of body cams in apartments will also be made possible, said Günther.

The facility in Glückstadt pending deportation remains.

The proportion of organic farms - currently six to seven percent - is to be doubled.

Before the state elections, the Greens had named 30 percent as their target.

The responsibilities for the environment and agriculture are separated again after a long time.

In the future there will be eight specialist departments instead of seven: Justice/health, education/science, home affairs, economy and agriculture will be assigned to the CDU and environment/energy, finance and social affairs to the Greens.

Head of the State Chancellery Dirk Schrödter (CDU) will be responsible for digitization and given ministerial status.

The separation of agriculture and the environment is considered problematic because it threatens frictional losses that could previously be cleared up within a house.

Farmers' Association President Werner Schwarz had called for CDU responsibility for agriculture, but advocated for both areas to remain together.

Günther said that the CDU derived its claim to agriculture from its high election result.

She got 43.4 percent in the state elections and the Greens 18.3.

A wise agreement was reached in order to prevent political disputes, said Günther.

There are very close links between nature conservation and agriculture.

Responsibilities would be clearly defined.

Heinold held out the prospect of close cooperation between the future separate houses.

The Greens want to propose to their state party conference that their co-lead candidate Aminata Touré (29) becomes Minister of Social Affairs.

Heinold (63) should remain finance minister, Environment Secretary Tobias Goldschmidt should rise to minister.

On the CDU side, Education Minister Prien and Interior Minister Sabine Sütterlin-Waack, who appeared in black and green on Wednesday, remain in office.

According to Günther, the occupations for justice/health, business and agriculture have also been clarified.

He wants to announce them at the party conference on Monday.
