Reach out, yes, but not to just anyone.
Three days after the results of the legislative elections which granted Emmanuel Macron only a relative majority, the executive continues to seek solutions.
The party presidents were received at the Elysee Palace yesterday, and are still to be today, Wednesday June 22.
But the members of the government do not seem to be ready to work with all the political forces so far.
For the Minister Delegate in charge of Europe, Clément Beaune, “

Yet this is what Éric Dupond-Moretti had suggested, on the evening of the second round.
Upon discovering the results, he had mentioned the possibility of “
moving forward together
”, including with members of the RN, in particular on the subjects of justice and security.
But this Wednesday on Europe 1, his colleague did not make the same speech.
And to remember that the “
together
” implies “
a base of common values
”, and not “
the big confused whole
”.
“
And I think that with the RN, there is not this base of common ideas.
Me, I have always been clear on that
, ”he continued.
“
Having coalitions (…) does not mean that everything is equal
,” insisted the minister, elected Sunday evening in Paris against Nupes.
“
The RN, me, I respect, because it is democracy (…).
On the other hand, I say: we do not agree.
I do not share their political project
,” he added.
A message shared by Olivier Véran.
On BFMTV, the Minister for Relations with Parliament affirmed that the government “
will not put itself in a position to depend on the votes of the RN, nor of LFI
”.
For him, it is a question of remaining "
in the republican arc
", from which he excludes the two "
extremes
".
