The judge of the Civil Court of Bologna, Alessandra Arceri, sentenced the Federal Republic of Germany to compensate the victims of the massacres perpetrated in Monte Sole by the 'Waffen SS' from 29 September to 5 October 1944. The news is reported in the Bolognese edition of Repubblica .
The sentence issued by the Court emphasizes in particular that the German soldiers, "as ascertained by the Military Court of La Spezia in the sentence given on January 13, 2007", acted "in execution of the order given to them to 'kill everyone and destroy everything' .
