(ANSA) - ROME, June 22 - After two years in which the maturandisono struggled with only one maxiorale, due to the pandemic, the writings are back for the 2022 state exam. This year the students were asking for a 'light' exam but the choice of the Ministry of Education - justified by the continuity of teaching which was practically full - wanted to start realigning the test with what is foreseen by the official rules.
Therefore, for the more than 500,000 candidates, a first written test, Italian, will start this morning at 8.30 am, prepared on a national basis.
Seven tracks of three different types will be proposed: analysis and interpretation of the literary text, analysis and production of an argumentative text, critical reflection of an expository-argumentative nature on current issues.
This year the test will be prepared by the individual institutes, which will thus be able to take into account what is actually done by children during the school year.
Finally, there will be an interview, which will open with the analysis of a material chosen by the commission: a text, a document, an experience, a problem, a project.
This year the commissions will be 13,703, for a total of 27,319 classes involved.
96.2% of the candidates were admitted to the exams, therefore 1 in 26 did not make it even if the numbers are very different from region to region: the best are the students from Veneto, with 97.2%, it fared worse than all instead to the Sardinian boys: only 91.7% have been admitted to the tests that will start tomorrow.
Once admitted, at least in recent years,
the percentage of students stopped one step away from the finish line was nothing short of symbolic: 0.2% in 2021, 0.5% in 2020 (when, however, they were all admitted to the final test), 0.3% in 2019, 0 , 4% in 2018 and 0.5% in 2017.
The final evaluation remains in cents.
The scholastic credit was awarded up to a maximum of 50 points.
As far as the written tests are concerned, up to 15 points will be awarded to the Italian test, up to 10 in the second test, up to 25 in the interview. Honors can be obtained.
"The State exam is an important moment of transition, it must be lived with enthusiasm. We are at your side. Trust in your abilities", Education Minister PatrizioBianchi said yesterday to the students.
The minister recalled that over 50 years ago, when he took the exam,
he chose a theme of history and graduated with 56/60.
In the meantime, amidst rehearsals, lucky rites, florets, religious pilgrimages, bracelets and rings that 'wear well', dances and propitiatory gestures, they hope to be able to sleep a few hours in the infamous "night before exams".
Most are convinced that the topic of the first written test will concern highly topical issues: for 48% - according to a survey - war is the most popular track;
14% hoped instead to be able to develop a text on the success stories of Italian excellence in sport - with the victories of the Azzurri at the Olympics and at the European Championships - and in music with the triumph of the Maneskin all over the world, a symbol of young people who made it, with commitment and sacrifice;
12% bet on a track dedicated to the current energy crisis, 10% on the environment.
As for the analysis of the text or the selection of a piece of poetry, most believe that a piece by Verga and Pirandello or verses by Pascoli and Ungaretti will be proposed.
Meanwhile, always tomorrow the school unions return to the streets, very critical of the decree-law undisputed in the Chambers which concerns, among other things, the recruitment of teachers.
