Moscow warns Washington against denying entry to Russian planes to evacuate its citizens

Russia today warned the United States of the consequences of preventing the entry of its planes to evacuate employees of Russian authorities and their families, stressing that the Russian response will be based on the principle of reciprocity.

The RIA Novosti news agency quoted the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement that the United States did not allow the arrival of a special flight for Russian airlines to evacuate employees of Russian authorities and their families, as the Russian Foreign Ministry notified them of the need to leave American soil before the end of this month.

The statement added: This defiant behavior of the US authorities will not go unanswered, and we had previously warned that if Russian planes are prevented from landing, we will respond in kind and inform the American side of this through diplomatic channels.
