After the FDP, a second parliamentary group is to be formed in the Thuringian state parliament.
Four currently non-attached MPs want to shoot together and thus gain group status, said the small party Citizens for Thuringia on Wednesday in Erfurt.
So far, she has been represented by Ute Bergner, a member of parliament who has left the FDP parliamentary group.
Erfurt - Thuringia's state parliament has the special feature that the government factions Left, SPD and Greens do not have their own majority - they are missing four votes.
According to Bergner, the MPs Birger Gröning, Tosca Kniese and Lars Schütze, who have left the AfD parliamentary group and have been non-attached for some time, founded a parliamentary group Citizens for Thuringia last Monday.
On Wednesday, the application for parliamentary recognition went to the President of the Thuringian State Parliament, Birgit Keller.
The members want to provide information about the group and its goals this Thursday.
