Personally targeted by voters - although by interposed candidates - Emmanuel Macron could not let an entire week pass without addressing the French who had re-elected him and then corrected him two months apart.
But to be solemn, the presidential word was not operational.
Could it be otherwise?
The unexpected and the severity of the verdict of the polls did not allow him to find a magic formula in forty-eight hours.
Macron therefore came to present options, not to provide a solution.
He made an observation - the absence of an absolute majority -, admitted a few lessons - more humility, more consultation -, reported on his consultations, opened up the field of possibilities -
"coalition contract"
, votes on the texts at the case by case, search for
“enrichment”
of the projects… But he could not promise that neither his mandate nor this legislature would be guaranteed to last five years.
