Parents from two kindergartens in Ramat Gan have filed complaints with the police on suspicion of violence against their children.

The children, five years old, claimed that aides had strangled them.

In the first case, the police completed the investigation and the materials were transferred to the State Attorney's Office, and in the second case, the investigation is ongoing.

Two weeks ago, A. asked his son ‘how was the day’ on the way back from lunch, and he replied that the assistant had strangled him.

When he returned to the kindergarten to find out the details, the kindergarten teacher said that the assistant washed the kindergarten and took the children outside, and when his son played catch with a friend he went in and stepped on the floor before she finished.

"The assistant grabbed him by the neck and pulled him out," he claimed in a conversation with Walla !.

"She denied, and he cried and called her a liar. He had marks on his neck."

The aide, for her part, claimed he "received a blow".

According to him, the next day the assistant was fired.

The kindergarten teacher, who heard from his son that he had suffocated and did not report to him until he returned to the place, was transferred from the kindergarten.

Another aide who also heard from his son about the case remained, and later another mother complained that she was holding her daughter's hand tightly.

"The municipality told me 'what do you want, we fired her'. There is a systemic misunderstanding," A. added.

"20 kindergarten assistants have changed in the last few months. There is no examination of the candidates' experience or recommendations about them. If you have a pulse you are accepted to be a kindergarten assistant."

Ricky Fahima Hazan, the mother of five-year-old Hood, complained about the similar behavior of an assistant in another kindergarten last month.

"One of the children described to his mother that the aide had strangled my son, that she grabbed him by the hand with the neck," she said.

"I asked him and he described things the same way. He said she did it 'until I was hot and all the air conditioners were off,' meaning he had no air. After we covered the case more parents told me their children told me the assistant 'hugged him.' In a suffocating and unpleasant way. "

Fahima Hazan also criticized the Ramat Gan municipality.

"I turned to the municipality and demanded that the teacher not come to the kindergarten before clarification and they did not agree. I was at meetings in the education department and realized they were not happy to check what happened, and in an official response I asked said it was being handled by police. As usual, I expect the municipality to give a proper response to such cases and it does not happen.

The police said that they "take any suspicion of abuse of the helpless seriously, as every complaint in this context is thoroughly investigated and investigated, and the same is done in relation to these cases. As for the first kindergarten, upon receipt of the complaint "However, we will continue to investigate the case thoroughly in order to investigate the truth. Regarding the second kindergarten, the police opened an investigation, in which a variety of actions were taken, and at the end, the investigation materials were transferred for review and decision by the prosecution."

"Following a complaint received yesterday regarding the improper conduct of a daycare assistant in the same kindergarten, it was decided to suspend it for a comprehensive and thorough investigation, as is done in any case where there is concern about inappropriate behavior.

"Regarding the second kindergarten, a complaint was filed against an assistant. After a thorough and comprehensive examination, including evidence on the subject, it turned out that the assistant was holding a child who was in a violent outburst and out of concern for the safety of the children, the assistant was holding him."
