There are quite a few rowdies on the road.
But which car brands actually drive the biggest traffic offenders?
A survey now provides insights.
Munich – A 24-hour lightning marathon* only took place in Bavaria at the end of March.
Checks were carried out at around 2,200 locations announced in advance - with "success": 9,756 speeders were caught speeding and now have to pay.
The sad maximum value was secured by a driver in Unterhaching, who raced through the control at 190 kilometers per hour - 80 were allowed. That not only hurts the wallet, because in addition to the 1,400 euro fine, this speed also costs two points in Flensburg and three months driving ban.
BMW, VW, Ford and Skoda: Which car brand do racers drive?
But who breaks the law most often on the road?
The Allianz* Direct Auto-Report dealt with this.
In a representative survey, 1,000 motorists in the 18 to 65 age group were asked which traffic offenses they had already committed - with surprising admissions.
After that, four out of five drivers have been flashed before.
No wonder, really, because only half of those surveyed (52 percent) stated that they always adhere to the speed limits.
However, if you look at the car brands of the speeders, the result comes as a surprise.
According to the drivers themselves, Ford, VW* and Skoda owners most often exceed the speed limits.
On the other hand, it is the BMW* drivers who are the least likely to say that they exceed the speed limits in urban and rural areas.
However, it is difficult to check whether the respondents were always honest here.
