Cologne News: After a short, serious illness, the bald eagle “Paco” died in Cologne Zoo.
Many knew him from the air show.
Cologne – Sad news from the Cologne Zoo: the air show will have to take place without the bald eagle “Paco” in the future.
The majestic bird died on Tuesday, June 21, after a "short, serious illness," the Cologne Zoo announced.
Paco was previously under intensive care in the veterinary department, but the bald eagle could not be saved, reports 24RHEIN.
“We mourn the loss of a great animal.

The exact cause of death is now to be investigated in pathology, the zoo continued.
In any case, many visitors now have to do without the bald eagle when they visit the air show at Cologne Zoo.
It is not yet known whether there will be another bald eagle in the air show, says press spokesman Christoph Schütt when asked by 24RHEIN.
You can also see the black kite "Milo" and the South American macaws, which circle through the air with dazzling colors and colorful plumage.

The bald eagle – it can live up to 30 years
The Bald Eagle has also been the heraldic animal of the United States since 1782.

For example, the cactus “Kaspar” was recently born.
By the way, his fur is considered a real specialty.
