The Sada Choir from Yabroud performed a choral evening led by musician Basil Haddad at the Azem Palace Theater in Old Damascus, as part of the evening of the second day of the “Long Live Music Festival” organized by the Ministry of Culture through the Directorate of Theaters and Music.

My choir Echo and Echo for adults presented a group of diverse songs in terms of music and language, and sang for love, peace and childhood, in addition to some rare muwashshahs, classical pieces, and traditional, modern and popular songs in a distinctive choral style, accompanied by a group of senior Syrian musicians in the field of playing.

The Minister of Culture, Dr. Lubana Mushawah, pointed out that hosting musical groups from all over Syria on the stage of Al-Azm Palace, in celebration of the International Day of Music, in order to attract young people who work in the field of music, because it surrounds all aspects of life, emits positive energy and teaches people how to improve methods of expression.

For his part, the choir leader, Basil Haddad, explained that the choir is trained on several axes, the most important of which are reading solfege, studying some music sciences, voice exercises, and training in singing with polyphony, various templates, and different languages. The importance of music for the upbringing of a person intellectually. As for the youth group, she believes in the need to include musical touches in their lives.

The two young men, Muhammad Hussein and Zina Marwa, expressed their happiness with this celebration, which is concerned with music and musicians, stressing the importance of the participation of bands in the International Day of Music to present their music to the largest segment of the audience.

It is noteworthy that the Sada Choir was founded by Raghad Haddad and Basil Haddad in the city of Yabroud and was launched in 2013 with thirty children ranging in age from 4 to 15 years, and in 2018 Bassel Haddad expanded it to include age groups from youth and adults. The choir participated in many local festivals.
