Today (22nd) evening, a petrol station robbery occurred in Kwai Chung.
At about 5 o'clock in the afternoon, a white seven-passenger car drove into an Esso gas station, No. 99, Tingjiu Section, Qingshan Highway. A man in his 30s got off the car and showed a 30-centimeter-long watermelon knife. After frightening the staff of the petrol station, he stole 9,000 yuan, and then boarded the car and fled along the Castle Peak Road towards Tsuen Wan.
However, the thief's car was suspected of "taking the wrong road" and drove back to the petrol station. It encountered a "quick action" by the police and was finally stopped at the junction of Castle Peak Road and Wo Yi Hop Road. The thief was subdued and arrested on the spot.

After the incident, the police arrived at the scene and looked through the CCTV to lock the thief's car.
According to the on-site information, it was suspected that the stupid thief was not familiar with the nearby routes. When escaping, he made a wrong U-turn at the roundabout of Cheong Wing Road, Kwai Chung, and drove back to the direction of the petrol station. It happened that the police patrol team launched a "quick action" nearby and successfully intercepted it. The 36-year-old surname is Ye Thief.
The case was classified as a robbery and was handed over to the Kwai Tsing Police District Major Crime Squad for investigation.
