Secretary General of the Teachers' Union intensifies sanctions • Ben-David came out against the Ministry of Finance: "In these actions, the Ministry of Finance exacerbates the crisis in the education system and accelerates the abandonment of facts and teaching staff"

The Teachers' Union has decided:

There will be no studies throughout the country in all educational institutions - in kindergartens, elementary schools and studios.

In institutions in special education, studies will take place as usual, according to a statement from the Teachers' Union tonight (Wednesday).

According to the announcement, the teachers' union continues to impose sanctions until a concrete proposal is made by the Ministry of Finance and again calls on the Minister of Finance, Avigdor Lieberman, not to wait until Sunday, but to enter into serious negotiations tomorrow.

The secretary general of the Teachers' Union, Yaffa Ben-David, said: "We have been negotiating with the finance officials for six months, but we have not yet received even one concrete proposal.

Today we see that the Treasury has money, but it prefers to give it to summer camp operators rather than to the teaching staff who carry the education system on their shoulders. "

Ben-David continued: "In these actions, the Treasury exacerbates the crisis in the education system and accelerates the abandonment of female and male teaching staff.

"I would like to thank Arnon Bar-David for the solidarity between our workers' organizations and the protection of the aid workers from the exploitation of the treasury," Ben-David said surprisingly further in support of the move.

"I call again on the Minister of Finance, Avigdor Lieberman, to come in person and sit down with the Minister of Education, the director general of the ministry, the person in charge of salaries, and with me - tomorrow."

Earlier, Arnon Bar-David, chairman of the Histadrut, supported Ben-David and said: "Assistants and supporters of education are not the unifying force in the education system but an important human and professional asset.

The attempt to place the entire burden of the education system on the backs of the assistants will not succeed.

I will not allow any factor to bring down the failure of the negotiations on the heads of the aides.

I inform you that in every school / kindergarten there will not be a qualified teacher or kindergarten teacher - the assistants will not come to work.

The aid will reach the "School of Great Freedom" on July 1, as originally agreed. "

The Teachers' Union stated that their representatives are ready to sit "until white smoke comes out" in the hope that on Thursday the finance minister will instruct finance officials to come up with salary tables and concrete proposals for salary increases for all teaching staff in the civil service.
