The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission confirmed that more than 500 prisoners suffer from various diseases in the Israeli prisons, noting that their pain is compounded by the occupation's refusal to provide them with the necessary treatment.
In a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, the commission stated that there are 23 prisoners with cancer, 11 with kidney failure, 8 crippled prisoners, and 40 prisoners with chronic diseases, noting the seriousness of the deliberate medical neglect policy pursued by the occupation authorities against prisoners, which led to the death of 227 prisoners inside the prisons.
The commission pointed out that the occupation is holding 4,700 prisoners in its prisons, including 30 women and 170 children, stressing the need for the international community to move to stop the occupation's violations and arbitrary practices against them.
