A famous private kindergarten, York International Kindergarten in Kowloon Tong, recently had two students infected with the new crown pneumonia.
Some parents of students from the school reported to "Hong Kong 01" that the school currently has full-day classes for students to participate in activities, and students eat lunch with other classmates.
In addition, some parents of students from the school also pointed out that their children reported that in the music assessment last week, some teachers had asked students to remove their masks when singing, "if you want to see the children's mouth".
The parent criticized that the school's arrangement was extremely inappropriate. "I don't know how to deal with the epidemic, but I want children to remove their masks." He also pointed out that most of the students in the class are showing symptoms.
York International Kindergarten replied that at present, one student in the school and one in the afternoon class has been suspected of being diagnosed by a rapid antigen test.
According to the guidelines of the Education Bureau and the school, students are required to wear masks during all activities in the school at any time. The school emphasizes that it strictly urges teachers to abide by the guidelines in all activities.
"Hong Kong 01" has been inquired with the Education Bureau and the Centre for Health Protection.
York International Kindergarten is located at No. 51, Cumberland Road, Kowloon. The school recently issued a notice to parents that two students in the school tested positive for rapid test results. One of the students did not return to school last Friday (17th). The classroom will be closed this week for thorough disinfection.
The parent, Mr. Chen (pseudonym), said that his child was studying K2 in the school.
Although the kindergarten has not resumed full-time face-to-face classes for the time being, Mr. Chen said that the school has arranged full-day classes. After class in the morning, students will participate in different activities in the afternoon, and they also have to stay in school for lunch.
Students of all grades will be arranged to participate in lunch and afternoon activities such as lectures.
