War in Ukraine: Ukraine wants to recapture Snake Island - landing maneuver probably failed
The Russian military, on the other hand, emphasizes that it successfully repelled the "crazy" attack by Ukraine.
This was stated by the spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Defense Igor Konashenkov.
The Ukrainian army would have planned air strikes and artillery fire, then land and take Snake Island.
15 attack and reconnaissance drones from Ukraine were involved, while rocket launchers and howitzers fired at the island.
Russian forces shot down 13 drones, 4 Tochka-U rockets and 21 reactive missiles from the Uragan rocket launcher.
The Ukrainian soldiers were then forced to abandon the planned landing maneuver.
