Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will participate by videoconference in the NATO summit, which is being held in Madrid from June 28 to 30, Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares said on Wednesday June 22.

A special working session will be dedicated to Ukraine
" during the summit and "
President Zelensky will be present during this meeting by videoconference
", declared José Manuel Albares during a press conference.

We must understand the extreme circumstances, of absolute complexity, relating to the entry or exit (from Ukraine) of President Zelensky
", he underlined.
José Manuel Albares assured that "
the Madrid summit will give an image of Euro-Atlantic unity
", which "
is the best response to Russia's illegal aggression against Ukraine
".
Also invited to the G7
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said last week that Volodymyr Zelensky was to take part in the Alliance summit, but without indicating what form this participation would take.

Invited by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Volodymyr Zelensky must also participate by videoconference in the G7 summit which is being held in Bavaria from Sunday to Tuesday, as part of an intense diplomatic sequence after a summit of European leaders in Brussels, which must grant EU candidate status for Ukraine, and just before the NATO summit.
