According to North Rhine-Westphalia's Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst (CDU), the coalition agreement between the CDU and the Greens has laid a good foundation for five years of joint government work.
"This work contributes in terms of content, but above all personally," said Wüst at the presentation of the coalition agreement on Thursday in Düsseldorf.
In the coalition negotiations, it was possible to “reconcile supposed opposites in order to create something good”.
Düsseldorf - The two parties share a common compass - more climate protection, a sustainable economy, future-proof infrastructure, investments in education and solid finances.
On Saturday, party conferences of the CDU and the Greens in Bonn and Bielefeld are to vote on the first black-green coalition agreement for the most populous federal state.
The base of both parties is expected to agree.
The contract could then be signed by the heads of the delegation at the beginning of the week.
