Six people died after the plane they were traveling in crashed in the city of Charallave, near Caracas, reported the Vice Minister for Risk Management and Civil Protection of Venezuela, Carlos Pérez Ampueda.
The aircraft was heading to Puerto Cabello, a coastal city located on the central Venezuelan coast.
The Minister of Interior Relations, Remigio Ceballos, reported that the emergency forces were activated for rescue work and that they are investigating what happened.
