A fire at the Ping Zhongdian Cable Bridge in Long Ping, Yuen Long on Tuesday night (21st) caused major power outages in Yuen Long, Tin Shui Wai and Tuen Mun, causing about 160,000 residents in the area to complain.

After CLP's emergency deployment of power and emergency repairs, Tun Yuantian has fully restored power supply yesterday (22nd).

This morning (23rd), the reporter inspected the Longping Cable Bridge again and found that maintenance workers were re-laying three large 132kV cables.

Some on-site workers revealed that the "laying line" project has been carried out seven to eighty-eight, and the "barge box" (connection) process is now being prepared.

As seen at the scene, three large black 132 kV cables and other red and yellow wires were placed on the sidewalk.
