A resident of Olching is appalled: Two e-bikes were cannibalized in an underground car park in Schwaigfeld.

Many parts were dismantled and stolen.

The police think it's a professional.

Olching - The photo should take the breath away of every bike owner: A high-quality e-bike basically consists only of its body.

A white film covers the paint.

This picture presented itself to an Olchinger when he looked into the underground car park on Franzstraße on Tuesday.

A thief had dismantled individual parts and stolen them.

He left behind the remains of the grey-red Lapierre e-bikes (type e-Zesty AM 9.0).

But that was only the two frames and a rear wheel.

Police estimate the damage at around $6,000.

The police are assuming a professional approach.

The perpetrator then used an oil stain remover to cover his tracks.

He did not succeed: the officials were still able to secure possible DNA traces and enter them into the evaluation, as the police report states.

Incidentally, the bike owner basically did everything right.

The wheels were locked.

Still, that didn't stop the culprit in this case.
