For the first time since the outbreak of the war:
Israel's ambassador to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky and his staff opened the embassy in Kiev today (Thursday) for a few days to provide consular services, after a large strain was closed following the Russian invasion of the country.
Over 80 people received consular service from the staff in Kiev, and another response was also given in the city of Lvov.
Ambassador Brodsky said: "An Israeli diplomatic presence in Kiev is very important to us and is another sign of Israel's support for Ukraine."
Yoav Bastritsky, Israel's Deputy Ambassador to Ukraine, told Israel Today: "Along with India and Poland, Israel is the only country in the world to return to providing consular services in Kiev. We come here for a few days each week and then return to Poland. "Back to full routine. There are occasional alarms and Russian attacks in the area, and even though during the day Kyiv is bustling with life at night, the situation is different and there is a curfew."
The consular service in Kiev and Lviv will be open alternately by prior arrangement and registration.
Information will be provided to applicants by phone + 380677703536
