A constitutional reform in Mexico established that the presidential elections will be in June 2024. Andrés Manuel López Obrador will conclude his presidential term on September 30 of that same year.
Since 2021, in the middle of his six-year term, López Obrador has been anticipating who could succeed him in office and gave them the nickname of “corchocolatas”.
Who are they and why is the president promoting them?
