Itzik Aberkhan, who was fired from his position as CEO of Shufersal during January this year, returned to the company from the front door as chairman of the board.
Abercrombie was appointed director of the company on Tuesday, and four of his candidates also won the election process and were appointed directors.
As expected, he was unanimously elected chairman.
Shufersal announced last Tuesday that at the annual meeting that convened, the decision was made to approve the appointments of Itzik Aberkhan, Moshe Atias, Ron Hadasi, Shlomo Zohar and Ilan Ron as directors of the company.
This means that all five directors in the Aberkhan Group, Moshe Atias, Ron Hadasi, Shlomo Zohar, Ilan Ron and Aberkhan himself - have been approved for the position.
The two incumbent directors, Yoav Shloshe and Ren Gottfried, were not approved.
The five elected directors constituted a majority on the board and were therefore expected to approve Aberhahn's appointment to the position of chairman of the board. Shufersal's board also includes four external directors, who will continue in office.

This is a big victory for Aberhahn who was ousted last January from the position of CEO of the group, at the initiative of former chairman, Yaki and Damani, who himself was ousted afterwards.
