The People's Assembly, in its twentieth session of the sixth regular session of the third legislative session, held today under the chairmanship of Hammouda Sabbagh, Speaker of the Assembly, discussed the performance of the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment and issues related to its work.

The Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Hussein Makhlouf, indicated that 124 billion Syrian pounds have been provided to local councils since the beginning of the year to date, while the amounts provided to them last year amounted to 114 billion pounds, and work is continuing to support cities and industrial areas, with a focus on production sites, where 77 facilities have taken off and the operation has begun. production, while the number of job opportunities provided reached 5,141.

Minister Makhlouf pointed out that the number of total exchanges in the industrial zones reached 73,000, and 16 zones were recently established, and 3 billion were allocated to repair 100 internal transport buses, and 1.3 billion Syrian pounds to repair broken fire engines.
