The firefighters had been called by neighbors at the end of the morning for a fire in the apartment of this couple, located on the 2nd level of a four-storey building.
The fire had spread throughout the apartment but was quickly extinguished and did not affect the other apartments, said Commander Gaël Zimmer, head of the 5th fire and rescue company in Metz-Orne. , present at the scene.
