This morning (Thursday), the national parent leadership company, Liron Habib, criticized the teachers' union's strike that is taking place throughout the country.

"Our teachers deserve the best but this is not the way - it's very important to help teachers, for all educators, they really deserve to be at the top of the payroll, but not on the backs of our children."

"Teachers' organizations need to sit down and find solutions that work well with all teachers. No one really understands what they are trying to achieve," Habib added in an interview on 103FM.

"We are entirely part of their protest, but we are against the strike."

On the other hand, a limited number of localities announced that they would open kindergartens through assistants.

The localities in which the gardens will operate as usual: Afula, Lod, Ma'ale Adumim, Kfar Saba and Ness Ziona.

In Kochav Yair-Tzur Yigal, the studies will take place in part, as well as in Tiberias, where only some of the kindergartens will operate.

In Givatayim, grades 1-3 will operate at a nominal cost.

In Jerusalem, Ashkelon, Harish, Givatayim, Kiryat Ono, Shoham and Kiryat Shmona were prepared to operate the kindergartens, but eventually announced that the move would not materialize, following Histadrut announcements that it would not allow the kindergartens to open without the presence of an education staff member.

However, the after-school programs in Jerusalem and Harish will operate as usual.
