RB Leipzig extends with striker Nkunku until 2026

RB Leipzig will start the new season with goalscorer Christopher Nkunku.
The DFB Cup winner has significantly improved the contract with the 24-year-old Frenchman and extended it until June 30, 2026.
This was announced by the Saxon Bundesliga soccer team on Thursday.
According to media reports, there is also an exit clause that would allow the French international to switch next summer for around 60 million euros.
Leipzig – The previous contract ran until the summer of 2024.
"After the great success in the DFB Cup, it was clear: my path doesn't end here - we want more!
I was really impressed by how the club made an effort to look after me," said Nkunku in a club press release, adding: "RB Leipzig have made a name for themselves internationally in recent years and have repeatedly confirmed that we are playing for titles be able.
In the future we want to build on this and go one step further.”
He also sent a video message from Paris: "Greetings from Paris.
But don't worry, I'll be back in Leipzig soon.
And I'm coming to stay."
The lively attacker, who moved from Paris Saint-Germain to Leipzig in 2019 for 13 million euros, had 55 points in 51 games for the German Cup winners last season and was voted player of the season by the Bundesliga captains.
According to media reports, clubs such as Manchester United and Chelsea FC have recently expressed interest in signing the Frenchman.
Nkunku himself recently flirted with his ex-club PSG, speaking of the "heart club".
