Today, the General Film Organization launched the special screening of the feature film “The Back to the Wall,” directed by Aws Mohamed, at Kennedy Dummar cinema.

The film does not directly address the war on Syria and its repercussions, but rather delves into its results and repercussions on the Syrian people in one way or another.

The film revolves around the story of “Qusay,” the university doctor at the Faculty of Mass Communication, whose role is played by the artist Abdel Moneim Amayri, whose life changes after learning that his close friend during his school days, whose news was cut off years ago, fell into a big problem and suffers from many psychological pressures, so he tries to help him and find out the truth of what really happened .

The artist, Ali Satouf, explained in a statement to SANA that he embodied in the film a complex problematic character that has its pros and cons, pointing to the boldness of the text in presenting and dealing with events.

It is noteworthy that the film is a script and directed by Aws Mohamed, in technical cooperation with director Abdel Latif Abdel Hamid, and starring, in addition to Amayri and Satouf, by artists Ahmed Al Ahmad, Lyn Ghorra, Al Farazdaq Diop, Hamada Selim, Rami Ahmar, Aktham Hamada, Sarah Baraka, and guests of honor Fayez Qazak, Filda Sammour, Mohamed Qanoua and Abdel Rahman Koueider.

It is noteworthy that the actor Ahmed Al-Ahmad won the best actor award for his role in the film during the feature film competition “The International Competition” and the award for best actor in the Arab competition, and also in the thirty-seventh session of the Alexandria Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries 2021.
