The place there is to be renovated and redesigned according to the will of the senior citizens' advisory board.

The Rossini Fountain and the square around it are not exactly a showcase for Baldham and the community of Vaterstetten.
Money from the citizens' budget is supposed to drive the beautification.
That's why others apply.
Baldham
- The Rossini Center playground and fountain in Baldham has been around for 50 years.
The facility is in need of renovation.
A group of citizens want to achieve more than just a new planting.
Therefore, on Saturday, June 25, from 10 a.m., there will be an event on site called the "Fountain Summer Info Festival".
The senior citizens' advisory board of the municipality and the working group Rossinibrunnen invite you to do this - to enable the citizens to get involved.
Popular meeting place, but unkempt
The fountain behind the Rossini Center in Baldham is a popular spot for young and old alike. A café and shops offer plenty of delights, according to event organizers.
But also recreation areas and a playground invite you to linger.
"Unfortunately, the place has been rather filthy and unkempt lately," says Herma Bianka Schlömer from the Seniors' Advisory Board.
The planting was redesigned on his initiative, with the support of the gardening association.
But the concrete walls of the fountain are crumbling and smeared.
Schlömer thinks benches need shade.
Space for children and young people as well as for older residents and those seeking peace "would be great".
In order to be able to finance the project, the initiators applied for the “citizen budget” of the community of Vaterstetten, which will be awarded for the first time this year, amounting to 10,500 euros per year, with a maximum of 3,500 euros per project.
Shortlisted are the following suggestions:
Other applicants for the citizens' budget
- Keep-fit course in a section of forest in the community of Vaterstetten/Baldham.
The course could also be integrated into the jogging track, for example - or into the Sunday walk.
- A completely fenced dog playground where dog owners can safely let their animals run without a leash.
- A dirt park for Vaterstetten, i.e. a sports area used by mountain bikers and BMX riders to experience off-road driving on site.

- Rossini Fountain in the Rossini Center: Together with other residents, parents, young people and senior citizens, the fountain is to be made more attractive.
The idea: cladding with wood, stones, mosaic or other material.
- Fence around the corner of Fasanenstraße and Spatzenweg: According to the organizers, a fence would provide more security here.
Hanging flower pots and raised beds next to it should beautify it.
online voting
An online vote has now taken place.
The result is to be announced on Monday, July 4th.
If they don't win the prize money, the initiators still want to set up a working group on the subject of the Rossini fountain.
