A young woman lost her life in a traffic accident this Thursday morning in Rueil-Malmaison.
On the handlebars of her electric scooter, she hit a bus in a shock that was fatal to her.
The tragedy took place shortly before 9 a.m.
According to initial findings, the 18-year-old pilot was traveling on avenue de Colmar, the D 991 which crosses the north of the town of Reuil to Nanterre.
As she was riding in the lane reserved for cyclists, she would have approached a bus from the right and would have found herself in her blind spot, when bus 467 – the line which connects the Rueil RER station to the Sèvres bridge — began to maneuver.
The young driver hit the bus at the rear door and the coach, carried away by its inertia, overturned her.
The young woman died instantly.

A psychological unit was immediately set up to help witnesses to the scene, including the passengers and the bus driver.
He was tested for alcohol and drug use, which turned out to be negative.
The first findings established that the victim was indeed wearing a protective helmet but also had music headphones in his ears.
The ongoing investigation will also determine its speed and the precise circumstances of the tragedy.
