New satellite images show that the international airport in Damascus is ready to land flights and that its route to one of the two runways and take-off has been restored, a report by the civil intelligence company ISI - ImageSat International reveals today (Thursday).
According to the satellite photos that were uncovered, the civilian runway at the main airport and reported to Syria was restored and ready to land planes, within a little more than a week after the attack attributed to Israel.
The military runway is still under renovation, but it is important to note that the flights on which it arrived according to foreign reports weapons from Iran to Syria, were civilian flights on planes of Iranian airlines that took off from Iran and Iraq.

The Syrian Ministry of Transportation confirmed on Friday that the attack attributed to Israel at the Damascus airport damaged its infrastructure and disabled it from use.
The Syrian Ministry of Transportation updated that the flight paths and one of the passenger halls were damaged.
The ministry said its staff was working to repair the damage caused to the airport.
The update comes after ImageSat International (ISI) released satellite images showing the results of the shooting at the airport.
In the photos you can see the damage caused to the flight paths, which as mentioned were disabled after the attack.
The Damascus airport serves as a route for smuggling weapons from Iran to Hezbollah. A few weeks ago, an IDF spokesman in Arabic revealed that the son of a senior Hezbollah figure was using civilian flights to smuggle weapons.
