The Haifa District Attorney's Office today (Thursday) filed an indictment in the city district court against the resident of the village of Abu-Sanan, Assem Hassan, for indecent acts he committed against three minors who fled the war in Ukraine.
According to the indictment, Hassan, 53, who works as a maintenance man at a hotel in the north of the country, attacked three Ukrainian minors aged 12-15 during the month of May while staying with their families at the hotel after fleeing the war in their country.
As detailed in the indictment, Hassan massaged the minors' shoulders and tried to kiss them against their will, while he tried to bribe them with chocolate and sweets.

In one case, the defendant arrived at one of the rooms where one of the complainants was staying, hugged the little ones in the back and tried to kiss him.
In another case, Hassan approached one of the minors using English translation software on his cell phone and offered to kiss him.
The defendant refused and Hassan offered to kiss him again in exchange for 50 NIS or five chocolate candies and the minor refused again.
The Haifa District Attorney's Office requests that the defendant be detained until the end of the proceedings.
