The staff merry-go-round in the Peiting town hall just won't stand still.

The community has only just come to terms with the departure of the long-standing treasurer when the next important employee announces his departure.

Supermarket builder Fabian Kreitl will leave the administration at the end of the year.

Peiting – There was great relief when former mayor Michael Asam was finally able to present Fabian Kreitl as the new market builder in December 2018.

For two years, the municipality had tried unsuccessfully to fill the vacant post.

It was a courageous step, after all, the then 25-year-old had only just started working in construction management a few months after completing his studies as a construction engineer.

But Kreitl quickly found his feet in the new responsible role despite his young age.

He benefited from the fact that, as a native of Peitingen, he was very familiar with the local conditions.

He threw himself into the work, which seemed to give him a lot of pleasure.

In any case, in an interview with the Heimatzeitung 2020, Kreitl stated that he enjoyed the job "incredibly much" and that he hoped

Market Builder has advanced many projects

That much is now certain, it will not come to that.

The now 28-year-old resigned from his position at the end of the year.

Even before Pentecost he informed the employees in the building administration and Mayor Peter Ostenrieder about his decision to leave the market.

Apparently, the town hall had not expected that.

"The termination came as a great surprise to us, especially because Mr. Kreitl always felt it was important to be able to work for his home town," says Ostenrieder, who regrets the imminent departure of the master market builder.

In recent years, Kreitl has helped shape many municipal buildings and has advised countless builders "with competence and passion" when it comes to the character and appearance of the place on the Peitnach.

"The new construction of the open all-day school,

The search for a successor is already under way

The only good news from the municipality's point of view: Because Kreitl will only retire at the end of the year, current construction projects, of which there are quite a few as is well known, are not at risk for the time being.

There are also a few months left to find a suitable successor.

However, it will not be an easy task, the head of the town hall suspects, looking at past experiences and the competitive job market.

“However, we want to try to come up with a solution as soon as possible so that, ideally, Mr. Kreitl can do some training.” Ostenrieder also does not rule out the possibility that such a solution could be found in-house.

"We'll see who applies for the vacancy."

Within a few months, Kreitl is the second executive to turn his back on the market administration.

At the end of last year, the longtime chamberlain Christian Hollrieder surprisingly announced his departure.

With Dörthe Schneider, a successor was found relatively quickly.

Of course, Ostenrieder is aware that personnel shifts are an issue in the village.

Nevertheless, in an administration with 140 employees, it is unavoidable that there will be a change from time to time.

Gone are the days of staying in the same job for decades.

Kreitl's new employer is based in Schwabniederhofen

Kreitl does not want to go into detail about the reasons that prompted him to resign.

He would have liked to have continued the task of market builder.

"However, after much deliberation, some events of the past few years have persuaded me to make this decision." Money did not play a role.

The man from Peiting, who is currently completing a master’s degree in integrative urban development in Wismar, has already found a new employer.

On January 1, 2023, Kreitl will start at the Schwabniederhofen company "ImmoWild", where he will take care of property development projects.
