The Israeli "X-ray" will examine American cars

UVeye, which provides advanced systems for scanning and diagnosing vehicles, has announced a strategic investment in it by GM Ventures, General Motors' venture capital arm.

GM will help fund the development and commercialization of the scanning technology.

This is the fourth manufacturer to invest in the Israeli company after previously announcing that Volvo, Toyota and Hyundai have already invested in it.

As part of the collaboration, more than 4,000 GM agencies will be able to install the UVeye vehicle scanning equipment.

The possibility of harnessing the technology of external scans and photography for online sales of used vehicles will also be examined.

Specific agencies will enjoy access to the company's three high - speed systems, which combine unique algorithms, cloud architecture, artificial intelligence, machine learning and fusion sensors.

As part of the strategic collaboration, the two companies will promote a variety of projects for vehicle scanning technology while providing garage services, selling used cars, fleet maintenance and sales agencies in the automotive market.

UVeye systems use artificial intelligence, machine learning and high-resolution (HD) photography technologies to quickly and accurately inspect vehicle tires, undercarriages and accessories and locate defects, missing parts and safety deficiencies.
