"I will be open to you, I love Israel very much and I have visited it several times before, but so far I have avoided being interviewed for Israeli journalists because I do not always know how to answer their questions well," Zlansky said.
In his speech, Zalansky mentioned Golda Meir, Shalom Aleichem and explained that Kyiv is full of a unique and Zionist heritage.
"This heritage brings us closer, these are not just the facts of its history but real human life that brings the two peoples closer," Zlansky said.
"You have seen what a tragedy this is. You have seen how Russia is waging this war, they are destroying everything, destroying cities, using artillery, planes and missiles. They are not sick of any kind of bomb. They attack us day and night with missiles that hit mainly civilian targets," Zlansky said. .

After the speech, President Zlansky will answer questions from students and faculty in an open discourse.
Earlier this morning, it was reported on the Israel Today website that a senior Ukrainian official accused the Israeli government of corruption, since he claimed that government officials maintained trade ties with Russia and therefore prevented the sending of Israeli weapons to Ukraine.
"Western governments, unlike the Israeli government, have realized that they must support Ukraine," the senior official said.
"We were badly surprised by the Israeli government - some of the ministers in it are doing business with Russia and we understood that this is a corrupt government, as there were some Eastern European governments in the past."

The senior official added that he feared a scenario that would provide the Russians with an excuse to use nuclear weapons: "According to the Russian constitution, an attack on Russian territory justifies the use of nuclear weapons. Russia annexed Crimea and therefore a Ukrainian attack there could lead to this. "Make sure that not a word about it appears in their media."
