Gauting – There was a traffic accident today on the Munich mountain in Gauting.

A 52-year-old from Starnberg drove his BMW on Kreisstraße 3 coming from Münchner Berg at around 8.45 a.m. this morning in the direction of Münchner Straße.

Therefore, he had arranged himself at the stop line for State Road 2063 in the left-turn lane.

The crossing area is regulated by sign 206 (stop - give way).

At the same time, a 64-year-old man from Leutstetten was driving his Peugeot on state road 2063 in the direction of Stockdorf. When the BMW driver wanted to turn left into the intersection area and drove off, he hit the Peugeot driver coming from the left in the rear right side of the vehicle.

When the BMW driver wanted to turn left into the intersection and drove off, he drove into the Peugeot driver coming from the left in the rear right side of the vehicle. According to the person who caused the accident, he thought that the Peugeot wanted to turn right and therefore drove off.

As a result of the collision, the Peugeot skidded, turned 180 degrees and then came to a standstill on the sidewalk of Planegger Straße at house number 2 after the car had previously collided with a fence and a no-parking sign.

Fortunately, there were no pedestrians on the sidewalk at the time of the accident.

The 64-year-old Leutstettner's car was dented on the right rear fender and the left front fender.

The Peugeot driver was outwardly unharmed, but complained of dizziness on site, which is why the rescue service was alerted.

The BMW driver was not injured in the collision, while his 64-year-old opponent had to be taken to the Starnberg Clinic by the rescue service with suspected whiplash.

His vehicle was then towed away while the BMW driver was able to continue his journey.

As police chief inspector Andreas Ruch reports, the damage to the two vehicles is around 5500 euros.
