Nuremberg – A woman suffered life-threatening injuries in a serious traffic accident on Thursday, June 23 in Sandreuth, a district of Nuremberg.
The driver was struck by a turning truck.
The public prosecutor's office also got involved.
Meanwhile, 30 school children in Nuremberg were very lucky – a van had crashed into their school bus.
Serious traffic accident in Nuremberg: e-scooter driver critically injured
At around 8:50 a.m., a truck with a tipping body turned right into Nopitschstrasse into Industriestrasse, according to the police report.
He overlooked a woman who was traveling with an e-scooter, i.e. an electrically powered two-wheel scooter.
The truck caught the driver, who was critically injured in the serious accident.
An ambulance took the 35-year-old to a nearby hospital.

Officials from the Nuremberg traffic police carried out the accident recording.
According to a police press release, the public prosecutor's office in Nuremberg-Fürth also ordered an expert to be involved in the accident investigation.

In the context of investigating the cause, the e-scooter with which the 35-year-old woman had been traveling was secured.
The work at the scene of the accident initially lasted until 11 a.m. - during this time the industrial road had been closed to traffic.
