VR Bank donates EUR 12,000 to the Peter Maffay Foundation

County - Most people know Peter Maffay as a successful musician.

But he is "not only" an artist - he is also a politically and socially committed person.

One of his many social focal points is his commitment to children in need.

With his Peter Maffay Foundation, the rock star supports traumatized and disadvantaged children and young people.

The VR Bank Starnberg-Herrsching-Landsberg eG is now supporting the Tutzinger Foundation with a donation of 12,000 euros, which was recently presented in Dietlhofen.

This was made possible by the Peter Maffay Foundation sustainability campaign in cooperation with VISA and VR Entertain.

Banks were able to encourage their customers to increase their VISA transactions - the five banks with the highest increases in the period from March 1st to April 31st were now allowed to hand over 4,000 to 12,000 euros to the Peter Maffay Foundation, depending on their placement.

The 7,331 customers of VR Bank who are in possession of a VISA card worked hard in these two months and gave VR Bank first place.

A total of 1,025 clicks were generated via the online call from VR Bank.

"We are particularly pleased that we are assuming social responsibility for our region with this donation and that we can hand over €12,000 to the Peter Maffay Foundation," says Cyrus Ahari, General Manager of VR Bank Starnberg-Herrsching-Landsberg eG.

"This campaign once again clearly shows how important it is for the citizens of our district to support regional institutions."
