The 200,000 devices from the French manufacturer Crosscall have been delivered, all that is missing is the connection to the 4G broadband telecom networks to bring police and gendarmes into the future of public security.

Commissioned in 1994, the National Shareable Transmission Infrastructure (INPT) still serves as an interoperable radiocommunications network for all intervention forces and emergency services.

Problem: this encrypted digital radio network has reached its technical limits.

Its low speed prohibits any sending of heavy files such as photos or videos or the possibility of organizing teleconferences.

In short, to take advantage of current technological tools and mobile Internet speeds without the police having to use their personal and unsecured equipment.
