These two major cities in Donetsk province, which could be the next hot spots of the fighting, are almost fortified by the Ukrainian defense.
The stakes are enormous: with Lyssytchansk, these are the last industrial cities of more or less 100,000 inhabitants still in the hands of the Ukrainians of the region.
If the Russians take it, they will control the whole of Donbass.
