Further price increases

In this context, Özdemir reiterated the demand for the abolition of VAT on fruit and vegetables.
He thinks this is good, according to the minister, “because consumer spending plays a major role, especially for the poor and because it would also contribute to healthy nutrition.” Özdemir said he currently doubts whether the traffic light coalition under Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) currently have a majority for the proposal.
